Unspeakable Horrors pulls directly from the lurid promise of mid-century sci-fi horror, when aliens invaded graveyards, the dead refused to stay put, and fear was delivered in stark black-and-white. Inspired by Plan 9 from Outer Space, the artwork reimagines Vampira as both cosmic threat and gothic icon. Elegant, unbothered, and completely in control as the world around her unravels.
Floating saucers, resurrected corpses, and the unmistakable presence of Vampira create a scene where camp and menace collide. It’s the kind of horror that didn’t need realism to be unsettling. Just atmosphere, attitude, and a warning that something terrible was already in motion.
